Cobric has developed a proprietary state-of-the-art High Temperature Metal Recovery (HTMR) process to recover Zinc from secondary sources. HTMR is recognized across North America as the “Best Available Demonstrated Technology. Proprietary Cobric technology was developed through 10 years of applied R&D, with total Cobric investment exceeding $6 million. The first demonstration system will be installed in Hamilton with 10,000MT/year throughput capacity.

Primary source of Zinc is Electric Arc Furnace Dust (EAFD) generated by steel producers.Sources of revenue: The sale of recovered Zinc, Waste management services provided to steel producers, The licensing of Cobric’s HTMR technology worldwide.
Target Customers
Canadian steel mills produce 80,000 MT of EAFD per Year. Ontario steel mills Arcelormittal Dofasco 20,000 MT/yr 23% Zn Gerdau Ameristeel 10,000 MT/yr 18% Zn.
